The current research was conducted with the aim of developing the process pattern of career development in students. The research method was qualitative and two methods of theme analysis and grounded theory were used. The studied community included two groups: 1) documents, including texts (books and articles) related to career counseling and school counseling that were published in the last 10 years ; 2) Specialists and experts in the field of school counseling and career counseling, which included two groups: a) university professors and experts in relation to the research topic; b) Experts of counseling centers and school counselors. In the section of documents, using the purposeful sampling method and and pay attention to the entry criteria, 7 books and 14 related articles were used in the field of students' career development. 21 people (9 experts in the field of career and school counseling and 12 school counselors) were selected to participate in the research by using a purposive sampling method. Data collection methods included library studies and semi-structured interviews . Texts, with the 6-step theme analysis method of Braun and Clark; And the data obtained from the interview were analyzed using the method of constant comparative analysis of Strauss and Corbin in three stages of open, axial and selective coding. In the first step, the themes of texts (227 subcategories and 32 main categories), and in the second step, the themes of interviews with the participants (227 axial codes and 439 open codes) were analyzed and extracted.
